Acolytes are an important part of worship. When you serve God and your church by serving as an acolyte, you are doing more than carrying a flame to light the altar candles. You are symbolically bringing the light of Christ into the worship service. It is our hope that by serving as an acolyte, you will be filled with a sense of spiritual growth through your commitment and grow in service to your church. At PHUMC, children who are in 3rd grade and older serve as acolytes.
