Baptism

What is Baptism?

“Baptism is God’s gift of unmerited grace through the Holy Spirit. It is an incorporation into Christ which marks the entrance of each person into the church and its ministry.” – United Methodist Church Book of Discipline ¶305

The Sacrament of Baptism is the beginning of a lifelong journey growing in grace together. We are given new birth and God’s gift of unmerited grace through water and spirit. Baptism incorporates all people into a community of faith. In this journey, we walk alongside one another, nurturing each other’s faith and deepening our love for God and our neighbor.
