FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Is worship registration required?
There is no worship pre-registration! All are welcome to attend to whichever service you choose! We encourage you to register your attendance upon arrival with our digital connect card at phumc.com/connect so we know that you are here and we can connect with you.
  2. Where do we park and enter?
We have three parking lots that you may park in! Parking lots 1 & 2 are off Woodlawn Street and are closer to our Sanctuary. Our covered parking lot (Lot 3) is off Lee Avenue and closer to Wesley Hall where we hold our Contemporary services.

  3. What COVID-19 protocols are in place?
Masks are optional and we encourage anyone who does not feel comfortable or anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated yet to wear a mask. Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the campus and in every row/pew in the worship spaces. Deep cleaning takes place between services.
  4. Is there an Entrance to accommodate those with mobility issues?
Entrances 1, 7, and 10 are all mobility friendly entrances.
  5. What about kids?
At this time, we offer childcare for children 4 and under, and registration is not required! Childcare will have a limited capacity and adhere to CDC recommended Covid-19 protocols. Children are more than welcome to come and sit with their parents, and our Children’s Ministry Team will be providing sanitized worship packs for all children who attend. We plan on continuing Children & Youth Sunday School beginning July 11th.
  6. Will the church be furnishing coffee or donuts?
We are not furnishing food and drinks at this time.
  7. How will I give my offering?
Offering our gifts to God is part of our spiritual life of growing in grace and generosity. There will be an opportunity to give an offering electronically via our website or text-to-give, and plates/baskets will be passed during the offering time.
  8. Are Sunday Schools Meeting?
Sunday School classes are welcome to meet in-person at the church anytime from 9-Noon. To ensure your room is prepared, please contact Stacey Hightower at shightower@phumc.com to reserve a meeting space! At the moment, we are working on getting PHKids and PHYouth Sunday School volunteers and anticipate beginning those programs on July 11th.
  9. Anything Else I Should Know?
Hymnals and bibles will not currently be in the seats. If you would like to bring your own hymnal or bible, we welcome you to do so!
