Kristie Finney
Kristie Finney graduated from Hall High School in Little Rock, and earned a B.A. in Microbiology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She also has graduate college credit hours toward a M.Ed. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Upon moving to Little Rock as a youth she met her high school sweet heart and future husband, Allen, while attending church and youth group activities at Grace Presbyterian Church here in Little Rock. Both she and her husband were active volunteers with the youth there as a newly married couple and continued their involvement with youth when they moved their membership to Highland Valley UMC. They have 2 children, Trey and Ashley.
Prior to coming on staff here at Pulaski Heights UMC Kristie was employed in the area of Health and Science as a Microbiologist with UAMS and the Arkansas Department of Health. From there she left the science field and went to work as a Customer Service representative with Acxiom. In January of 2002 she joined the staff of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church as the Associate Director of Children’s Ministries. This position has met her desire to work with and to teach children. Her goal in ministry is to help children understand who they are and what it means to be a Child of God. One of her favorite scriptures would have to be Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ how strengthens me.”
