Children in Sunday School

Sunday School provides a strong base for each child’s Christian education. Sunday morning classes for children, six months to 5th-grade, are 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. in the Norma Story Children’s Building, which also houses nurseries.

Nurseries

Paid staff manages four nurseries for:

  • newborn through 6 months (Nursery I)
  • 6 months, sitting up well and starting to crawl (Nursery II)
  • 12-to-18-months, walking (toddler I)
  • 18 months and older (Toddler II)

Infants & Toddlers

ECA (Early Christian Awareness) for infants and toddlers, beginning at age six months, teaches basic Christian concepts through multi-sensory activities.

Preschool Classes

Children who are age two by September 15 attend the class for two-year-olds, and so forth through age 4. Classes that teach basic Christian concepts through  Bible stories and scriptures. Children learn about sharing, helping, loving, forgiving, obeying, and more.

Kindergarten to Grade 5

PHaith Connection is the name of our Rotation Sunday School program. Children rotate through:

  • Rockin’ Revelation (music and games)
  • New Creations (cooking, science)
  • Art & Soul (art)
  • Kids Voice (television production)
  • Acts of Grace (drama, puppets)
  • PHaith Features (movie theatre)
  • Discoveries (science)
  • GodLink.com (computers)
  • Tent Tales (storytelling)

6th-Grade Confirmation Class

Sixth-graders participate in a comprehensive discipleship and membership training program. This class now falls under Youth Ministries.
