3rd-Grade Bibles
Usher on Children's Sabbath
Each fall 3rd-graders are presented Bibles as gifts from the church on “Children’s Sabbath” during Sunday worship services. Children serve as scripture readers, liturgists, and ushers. A Bible “lock-in” is held the following Friday evening, when children learn to use their Bibles. The instruction continues each Sunday morning in classrooms. The Bibles for 3rd-graders have their names inside.
